I have no negative comments about this TV. The picture looks great right out of the box. The DVD player plays flawlessly and I have to admit it's looks cool sliding the DVD into the side. Others have complained about the volume. The speakers could be better but chances are you are going to be viewing this TV from close range so you'll be fine. The sleep timer is a nice touch. I wish it could be a little bigger but that was a hundred bucks more. As always, Amazon free shipping was quick and painless.

Toshiba 19LV505 Great TV for Kitchen! A swivel would have made it perfect

I bought this TV the day before Thanksgiving at a well known "club" store. I got it to replace a TV/VCR combo unit that took up too much counter space. This has a bigger screen than my old TV yet takes up only a fraction of the space. The picture is great and I'm sure that if I had digital cable service, it would be even better. The surfing is slow in that when you change the channel it takes a few seconds for it to kick in, so if you like to change channels quickly, you will be frustrated. I popped a DVD into it while I was preparing T-Day dinner and the picture was superb. The sound is fine...I didn't have to turn it way up to hear it as some other reviewers have said. The only thing I wish it had was some kind of swivel so I could turn the screen either toward the kitchen table when I'm eating or toward the work area, when I'm cooking. That would have made it perfect. All in all, I would recommend this TV.

Got this television for my bedroom. The picture is perfect and the sound is great. Love the DVD player and the lit remote is great!!! I would definately recommend this to anyone!

Toshiba 19LV505 19-Inch

Received this tv in good condition yesterday. It was ordered on the 15th and arrived on the 19th. Set-up was easy. The picture is brilliant. I had been using an over-the-air analog tv in the kitchen and bought this as a replacement. The digital OTA channels are fantastic and come in great even though I am about 60 miles from most stations. This is my second Toshiba LCD and I am very satisified with the product.

Toshiba 19LV505 Excellent Value

I received the Toshiba 19LV505 yesterday. After spending much time researching 19" flat screens I took a chance with this model. We plan to put this in our country kitchen as we inserted a pellet stove for the winter.

First may I say I shy away from writing reviews. The TV is so much more then expected and deserved the time to let people know. We have it hooked up to Comcast with just the antenna (no box). The Digital stations look as fine as those on our HD Sony Wega. Analog stations come in with digital quality. After reading other reviews I was concerned with the volume. My husband is hard of hearding yet volume is strong enough for him. The DVD is an added bonus on this unit. I tried the DVD today and it works great.
